Maintenance and management of manual tools
Ordinary people usually know about the maintenance of machinery and equipment or dangerous goods, but they often neglect the use of hand tools, so that the proportion of injuries caused by hand tools is more than that of machines. (1) Maintenance of hand tools:
1. All tools shall be inspected and maintained regularly.

13. The principle of tool maintenance is not to damage the original design.
14. Tools that cannot be repaired in the factory shall be returned to the original manufacturer for repair.
(2) Management of tools:
1. Tools shall be kept by special personnel in a centralized manner and easy to inspect and maintain.
2. When dangerous tools are lent, they should be equipped with protective equipment at the same time.
3. All tools shall be stored in a fixed place.
4. All tools shall have recorded data, including purchase date, price, accessories, service life, etc.
5. The borrowing of tools must be registered and the borrowing data should be kept complete.
6. The number of tools should be counted regularly.
7. The storage of tools should be classified.
8. Tools that are easily damaged should be backed up.
9. The specification of tools should be standardized as much as possible.
10. Valuable tools should be properly stored to avoid loss.
11. Management and borrowing methods shall be formulated for tool management.
12. The storage place of tools shall be kept away from humidity and have a good environment.
13. Industrial and commercial scrapping shall be handled in accordance with regulations, and supplementary purchase shall be applied.
14. Borrowing and returning tools should be cautious, rapid, accurate and simple.
Hand tools are generally used in special environments, such as flammable, explosive and extremely harsh conditions. It belongs to consumables. Only by holding the correct use method of hand tools can the occurrence of injury accidents be reduced.
